

Thomas Carlyle Wolfe, 70, passed away on Friday January 4, 2013 in Midland, Texas. He was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana and moved, with his parents, to Odessa, Texas in 1948. He attended school at Bowie Jr. High and Odessa High. He enlisted and served two years in the Navy. Thomas returned to Odessa and worked in the oil field and as a machinist for 17 years before moving to Midland where he worked for the Midland Reporter-Telegram for 10 years as supervisor to the mail room. He retired in 2001.
In his retirement, Thomas maintained and ran the model train exhibit at the Midland Heritage Museum during the holiday season. In his free time Thomas loved traveling with his life partner of 20 years, Ann. He and Ann would often host friends from abroad as they traveled the States. In his lifetime he also enjoyed piloting small aircraft and riding motorcycles.
Thomas is preceded in death by his parents, Harold E. Wolfe and Ruth M. Wolfe of Odessa. His survived by Ann Akin and her children, Carl, Terrie, Dale, and Rina and his children Patricia, John, Harold “Corky”, and Anita and their mother Guadalupe Wolfe.
Thomas enjoyed spending time with his family and watching his 17 grandchildren grow.
