

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Malinda Cook Richardson; mother, Nancy C. Needham; Father, Leslie L. Needham, Sr.; brother, Leslie L. Needham, Jr.; her sister, Audrey May Reid; and her beloved dog, Minnie.
She is survived by her four children, Robin C. Haymaker (Mike), Ronald Clay Cook, Jr. (Brenda), Rhonda C. Herring, James Vincent Cook; eleven grandchildren, Jeremy C. High, Wayne Richardson, Jr., Brandi N. Martin, Kenny Herring, Jr, Dustin S. Herring, William Clay Cook, Casey Cook, Thomas Carol Bailey, Jr., Garrett Cody Herring, Steven K. Herring, and Michael Cole Haymaker; eleven great-grandchildren; and her devoted and loving niece, Nancy Pannell Roane; and a host of extended family and friends who will all miss her dearly.
Betty was a dedicated employee and retired from the Richmond Metropolitan Authority after over 20 years of service. She loved cats, riding motorcycles, working puzzle books and loved to shop at Goodwill stores for cat decor, but most of all she loved her family.
The family will receive friends from 5 - 8 pm on Thursday, April 6 at Woody Funeral Home - Huguenot Chapel.
A graveside service will be held at 2 pm on Friday, April 7 at Dale Memorial Park, 10201 Newbys Bridge Road, Chesterfield.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Chesterfield County Animal Shelter in Betty Cook's name.
