Billy Lee Bowman

BOWMAN, Billy Lee, 73, died after a long struggle with heart disease on June 9, 2014, in Powhatan. He was born to Martin Bowman and Carrie Elizabeth Mason Bowman on March 25, 1941. In 1964, he married Janice Sue Christley. Along with her, he leaves to cherish his memories his son, Kevin Martin Bowman and his wife, Helen; son, Terry Lee Bowman and his wife, Lynn; daughter, Mavis Day Pilger and her husband, Andy; five grandchildren, Kelly, Kyle, and Kaitlyn Bowman, Ricky and Star Pilger; and three step grandchildren, Brian and Jason Trentham and Dawn Dunning. Adding to the wonderful family are two great-grandchildren; six step grandchildren; and his siblings, Philip Bowman, Marie Moss, Johnny Bowman, and Don Bowman with all of their extended families. May his memory forever bind us all together. His remains rest at the Huguenot Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road, where the family will receive friends from 12 to 2 p.m. Thursday, June 12, 2014, and where a funeral service will begin at 2 o’clock.
