Ms. Gray was born on March 13, 1942, in Roanoke, Virginia to George and Elizabeth (Strickler) Gray. She attended Andrew Lewis High School. After high school, she pursued a career as a welfare worker for the City of Roanoke, Virginia.
She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Elizabeth Gray. She is survived by her son, Gregg A. Doyle, daughter-in-law, Nancy L. Doyle, granddaughter Christy A. Doyle, grandson Robert G. Doyle of Chester, Virginia; brother Roger W. Gray of Virginia Beach, Virginia; sister Kathryn L. G. Christley of Roanoke, Virginia and first cousin, Barbara Lee of Woodbridge, Virginia plus many beloved nieces and nephews.
She enjoyed spending time with family, friends, her pets, her garden, and her church.
A celebration of her life will be held at her church, Unity of Bon Air, 923 Buford Road, North Chesterfield, Virginia 23235 on July 30th, 2022, at 1pm. A reception will immediately follow for a time of sharing memories with family and friends.
