Cissy was born on November 9, 1946 in Rahway, NJ, to the late Charles and Helen Jameison. She was preceded in death by her sister, Constance J. Richeson and is survived by her devoted son, Christopher Wayne Hope; her brother, Bob Jameison and his wife, Diana; nieces and nephews, Tracy & Jonathan Philippi, Chris & Stacy Richeson, their children, Jordan, Samuel, Claire, Connor & Cooper, to whom she was literally their "Great"- Aunt; as well as her former husband and friend, Wayne Hope.
Cissy was a graduate of James Madison University in 1968 with a degree in Elementary Education. After teaching for Chesterfield County Schools, she worked many years in sales for Carolina Fluid Components where life-long friendships were formed. She attended Huguenot United Methodist Church for over 40 years where she was a member of the choir and active in their Women's Ministry groups up until her passing. Her presence there will be greatly missed.
Cissy will always be remembered by her family and friends for her unwavering loyalty, her genuine kindness, humility, generosity, humor, laugh, and her remarkable ability to make you feel special. She was the first to offer help, come to your rescue, and unconditionally love with no judgement or strings attached. She truly lived Acts 20:35 which says "It is more blessed to give than to receive" and will leave countless sweet memories with all those blessed to have known and love her.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday February 12, 2025 at 2pm at Huguenot Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, Cissy requested that donations be made to the charity of their choice in her memory.
