MAXEY, Cynthia Lynn Millner (Cindy), of Midlothian., born October 7, 1960, died August 26, 2012. Cindy very peacefully entered her eternal life in Heaven, surrounded by loved ones after a short, brave battle with cancer. She will be greatly missed but certainly never forgotten. She was preceded in death by her father, Jesse Gordon Millner, Jr. Survivors include her husband, Jim Maxey; son, Robert Norby; mother, Nancy Millner; brother, Greg Millner and his wife Beth, of Chesapeake, Va.; nephew, Gregory Millner; niece, Kelsie Millner; best friends, Stacy Bales-Farina and Jim Farina; her pride and joy, a very spoiled Maltese named Cody; and many other loving family members and friends. Cindy enjoyed NASCAR and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers. She graduated from Midlothian High School in 1979. A committal service to celebrate Cindy’s life will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Dale Memorial Park and Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Thomas Johns Cancer Unit at CJW Hospital where Cindy received the best possible care and compassion from her physicians, nurses and entire staff.
