She was preceded in death by her husband Edwin L. Tomlinson, Jr. and her parents Peter J. Farrell and Mary Catherine Farrell.
Betty is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Kathleen A. Tomlinson of Richmond, VA; son Thomas M. Tomlinson and wife MaryBeth Tomlinson of Charlotte, NC; son Gregory Tomlinson and wife Maggie Wright of Portland, OR; four grandchildren, Megan, Jessica, Christopher, and Sloan and granddog, Izzy.
Betty was born in Morristown, NJ on January 3rd, 1932. She graduated from Madison High School in 1950 and then worked at Chubb Insurance Company from 1950-1959, where she meet her husband Edwin L. Tomlinson.
Betty was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved rides in the car, travel, the beach, animals and a fine glass of chardonnay.
A visitation will be held at the Huguenot Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Rd. Midlothian, VA 23113 on Wednesday, January 15, from 6 to 8pm. A graveside service will be private.
The family would like to thank Spring Arbor Cottage and Heartland Hospice for the compassionate and comforting care she received in her final days.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or ASPCA.
