Varljen, Frank (85) of North Chesterfield, VA passed away Sunday, June 24th with his family beside him. He was born August 28th, 1932 to Frank and Rose Varljen who are both deceased. He is also preceded in death by his brother Joe and sister Darlene. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Helen, and his children Cindy (Jerry), Frank (Dee) and Debra (Paul). Frank has 9 grandchildren who were the joys of his life: Justin (Katie), Cory, Logan, Jeffrey (Dabney), Samantha, Rachael, Savannah, Brooke and Macesin. Frank was a great-grandfather to sweet Betsie Ann who brings all a smile. Frank is also survived by his brother Charles Michael (Ann). He had many loving nieces and nephews.
Frank was very involved with the Knights of Columbus at St. Edwards Catholic Church. He was a Grand Knight and Post Grand Knight 4th Degree. Frank enjoyed the beach with his family and the Saxman family for many years.
Frank was in the Navy, graduated from the University of Pittsburgh and was a comptroller for American Machine and Foundry and SASIB Corporation of Richmond.
The family will receive friends and family from 9:30am-10:30am Friday, July 27th at St. Edward The Confessor Catholic Church, 2700 Dolfield Dr. North Chesterfield, VA 23235. Funeral service immediately following.
