Gloria Lynn Smith, 63, of Midlothian, widow of Jerry L. Smith, died Wednesday, July 31, 2013. She is survived by two daughters, Kelley Ritter and her husband, Brent, and Kerrey D. Smith and her fiancee Jake; a son, John Bradley Smith; three grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Elliot and Livy; six sisters, Carolyn, Sharon, Jonna, Deborah, Beth and Jan; one brother, Mel; numerous nieces and nephews; and her best friend, Cindy Eubank.
Mrs. Smith devoted her life to helping those with special needs at The Virginia Home and Lucy Corr Nursing Home.
The family will receive friends 5 - 7 p.m. Saturday at the Huguenot Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road. A graveside service will be conducted 12 p.m. Sunday at Dale Memorial Park Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at stjude.org.
