She was predeceased in death by her husband, Leonard C. Hausman: her parents, Ralph and Cyrilla (Mess) Raber: her son, Richard L Shankweiler: and her granddaughter, Sarah Shankweiler.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Cymbor (David), of Midlothian, VA: her brother, Joseph McConnell (Cheryl), of Macungie, PA: and granddaughter, Rebecca Williams (Matthew) of Emmaus, PA: and 5 great grandchildren.
She served as an officer in the Allentown Police Department from 1968-1989. She was the first woman to achieve the rank of Lieutenant. She also graduated from the FBI National Academy in 1984. After retiring from the police department, she was elected to serve as a Pennsylvania District Magistrate from January 1988 to June 1998.
She enjoyed spending time in Florida, attending live jazz concerts and traveling with her husband.
