ROBERTSON, Joyce Acra, 97, of Midlothian, Virginia, died on May 9, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Rudolph Robertson; sister, Barbara A. Stevens; and great-grandson, Ethan Marchese. She is survived by her daughters, Constance R. Perkins (Franklin) and Mary R. Marchese (William); her five grandchildren, Julie P. Hall, William R. Marchese (Kelly), Matthew F. Perkins (Angela), Michael S. Marchese (Laura) and Brian A. Marchese (Sarah); nine great-grandchildren, Amber Noel Perkins, Megan Indiana Perkins, Alyssa Leigh Marchese, Gabriella Elizabeth Marchese, Brian Reed Marchese, Ashley Morgan Marchese, Evelyn Anne Marchese, Lucy Margaret Marchese and Gabriel Jude Marchese. She is also survived by her sister, Elizabeth A. Parker; a special cousin, Gerald Minor; and many nieces and nephews.
She was a member of Salisbury Presbyterian Church and a former member of Third Presbyterian Church. She was a life member of the Manchester Volunteer Rescue Squad Auxiliary. She was also a talented quilter, knitter, seamstress and artist.
Her remains rest at Woody Funeral Home, Huguenot Road Chapel, 1020 Huguenot Road, Midlothian, Virginia, 23113. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 17, 2018. Funeral service will be held at the Chapel at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia, 10300 Pridesville Road, Amelia Court House, Va. 23002, on Friday, May 18, 2018, at 11 a.m.
