He was preceded in death, by his parents, Frank and Lucy D'Amato; his sister, Filomena; and his brothers, Ralph and Edward.
He is survived by his children, Frank (Carol Ann), Walter, Ruth (Eric), Tom (Dawn), Lucy and Kathy; and 12 grandchildren.
Louis was born in Brooklyn, New York and was a lifelong Giants fan. He had a Masters in education and was a retired teacher. Louis enjoyed walking on the beach, playing golf and listening to music, but most of all he loved his family.
Services will be private.
