Luvenia Ann Noya, 92, died on August 17, 2025, in Virginia. Ann was born in Baltimore, MD on October 2, 1932. She lived in many states but spent nearly 30 years in Florida. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Donald Noya. She is survived by her sister, Dorothy North of Florida and her sister-in-law, Marie Noya of Louisiana. She has three children, Gary (Julie) Noya of Virginia, Donna Gilbert of Arizona, and Frank Noya of Virginia.
She lived with Gary and Julie for 15 years, which required full-time care in her final years. She had three grandchildren, Christopher (Lisa) Noya of Nevada, Dylan (Jessica) Noya-Roy of Illinois, and Courtney Noya of Florida. From these three grandchildren, she had five great grandchildren, Wyatt, Brody, Lincoln, Kayla, and Willow, plus her great-grandcat, Ellie.
The family is grateful to her aide and friend, Jackie Hutcheson, who made her final year of life full of fun activities, joy, sweets, mani/pedis, lunches and outings, and beautiful memories. Ann also enjoyed spending time with her friends, Nancy and Daniel Phipps, with whom she shared many adventures, meals, and lots of laughter.
Ann was a devoted Lutheran who lived out her faith every day. She was a member of All Saints Lutheran in Lutz, FL. For many years, she and her sister packed bagged lunches weekly for a preschool in downtown Tampa for under-served youth. In her younger years, she sang in the church choir and taught Sunday school. After her move to Virginia, she was able to continue to worship online.
Everyone who met Ann always said the same thing, she was such a sweet lady and full of love. She loved pictures and videos of all her grands. She will forever be remembered for her love of sweets, especially chocolate! She enjoyed word search books, helping with jigsaw puzzles, and painting.
Services will be held in Florida at a later date where she will be interred alongside her husband, who she missed deeply.
