

She was born in Blackstone, Virginia, on March 8, 1931 and spent her life there until she moved to Chesterfield County at the age of 1 7. She was the daughter of the late James Andrew and Gracie Wells Adams.
Mrs. Cheatham was preceded in death by her first husband, Dennis W. Daniel, the father of their four daughters, and her second husband and the love of her life, Guy Milton Cheatham, Jr. She was also preceded in death by her two brothers, Raymond L. Adams (Kathryne) and Robert W. Adams (Betty). She is survived by her four daughters, Faye Daniel Gaskins (Michael), Gaye Daniel Adams (Rich), Kaye Daniel Packett (Mark) and Denise Daniel Kern (her friend, Brooks), 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Her love and caring will be missed by them and by Milton’s sons, Keith and John Cheatham.
She was a graduate of Blackstone High School. She lived a very full life raising her daughters, traveling, entertaining in her home and playing golf with her many friends and always looked forward to the summers she spent at the beach with her family. She was a member of Salisbury Country Club and Willow Oaks Country Club and a lifelong member of Mount Pisgah United Methodist Church where she was very active.
She was known to those that loved her simply as “MaMaw”. MaMaw was a wonderful cook and loved nothing more than spending time baking treats with her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her family brought her the greatest joy.
The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. on August 3, 2024 at the Huguenot Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road, Midlothian, Virginia. Burial will be private at Tomahawk Baptist Church. A memorial service will be held August 4, 2024, 3:00 p.m. at Mount Pisgah United Methodist Church, 1100 Mt. Pisgah Drive, Midlothian, Virginia, followed by a reception at Salisbury Country Club.
