

He was born on July 4, 1990, in Richmond VA.
Mark attended Greenfield Elementary, Robious Middle, James River High School and Brightpoint Community College. He worked at Kohl’s, where he volunteered many times for community outreach. Most recently, he worked at CVS where he was working on becoming a pharmacy technician. He enjoyed going to the beach, spending time with friends, playing video games, and watching his favorite shows, like “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”. Of all the things that Mark did, he enjoyed working the most.
He is survived by his parents Peter Scholtes (Nong Yutthana), Peggy (Taylor) Scholtes, brothers Tim Scholtes (Rebecca) and Andrew Scholtes, nephew Calvin Scholtes, aunts Barbara Horton (Clarence), Elizabeth Kunis, Kristen Thompson (Rusty), and numerous cousins.
Mark is preceded in death by his grandparents Charles and Margaret (Kircher) Scholtes, Keith and Thelma (Livingston) Taylor, and aunts Patricia Scarkino and Pamela Taylor.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, September 13, 2024 at the Huguenot Chapel of the Woody Funeral Home.
