STAMPER, Martha Lyon, 75 of Midlothian, passed away May 24, 2016. She was the widow of Robert “Bob” Stamper. She is survived by her daughter, Margaret Stamper Koch and husband Ray; son, Robert Houston Stamper, Jr. and wife Stephanie; grandchildren Cora Jean Koch and Amanda Lynn Koch; and brother-in-law, William Graves Stamper.
She was a graduate of Durham High School and East Carolina College where she was a member of Delta Zeta. She was a member of Huguenot Road Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends Tuesday May 31 from 4-5 p.m. at the Huguenot Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road, followed by memorial service at 5pm. Interment, Wednesday June 1 at 11 a.m at Maplewood Cemetery, 1621 Duke University Road, Durham, N.C. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Huguenot Road Baptist Church or the American Heart Association.
