To my dear Son, Matthew Davis Mason,  in a few weeks you would have been 30 years old.  If God had given you a few more years with us I know that your life would have been one of many transitions that we only had a glimpse of seeing.  When I think of you, when you would visit me in Cincinnati I cherish all the moments that we shared.  We had so many laughs and giggles I miss that.  Everytime I had to go to work I would always make sure you had enough food to eat. but your favorite was the chicken sandwiches on the dollar menu...I would make sure you had money for gas even if I left with a dollar in my pocket it was ok....you would always take me to the airport even if it was 5am you would get up drive me there take out all my luggage I needed for work we did not see eye to eye all the time,but right b4 I started into work you would always give me the biggest bear hug and that is one of the things that I really miss, you will remain 28 forever young well Happy Birthday to you on October 25th.  I miss you everyday but I have finally accepted that you are so much better and happier wherever you may be.

Ethan still asks when you are coming back to Rockville to see us.  You were the best part of Dawsons and I missed you so much when you moved away.  You always had a pleasant smile and a twinkle in your eye that reflected your sweet nature.  I wish we had gotten to spend more time together but I will always cherish the time we had.  I hope you are at peace and know that you were loved by so many that you touched.

Matt you were just a good friend to me during the little time we knew each other. We had plenty of laughs at Dawson's. You crossed my mind the other day. I can't believe your gone but you are now in a better place. ?? you will truly be missed.
