Mike was a good guard coworker.  I’m sorry to hear of his passing.

Mike was a great coworker and was liked by everyone at NOAA/NODC. He introduced me to fantasy football in 1992 by bringing me into a league as his partner, to share a team. It was fun, and I remember his fun pool parties too.

I just found out about Mike and am crying in my morning tea! I carpooled to NODC for a couple of years with him and enjoyed every minute. I never thought of Mike as handicapped and was amazed at his upbeat outlook on life. I know how much he loved his family and how excited he was to be a father and grandfather.  He will truly be missed.

We have fond memories of Mike smiling to everyone he saw in our community, posting uplifting videos of music from the 60’s, and partaking in just about every activity he could in his community. He was a gentle leader and kind spirit and we will sorely miss him, but his presence will always be in our hearts.
