

HUSSEY, Mrs. Phyllis, of Midlothian, wife of the late Dr. Robert W. Hussey, died on June 10, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Francis Peck; and brother, John Peck, of Vernon, N.Y. She was born on November 1, 1940 in Vernon, N.Y. Survivors include her sons, Tristram Hussey (Sheila Christie) of Vancouver, B.C. and Miciah Hussey of Brooklyn, N.Y.; daughters, Jedidah Hussey (Louis Nardi) of Washington, D.C. and Macy Carobene (Brendan Carobene) of New Rochelle, N.Y; sister, Mrs. Mary Weber of Rome, N.Y.; longtime companion, Terrence Moore, of Midlothian; and grandchildren, Aislinn and Tenzin Hussey and Baxter and Lindsey Carobene.
She will be remembered by many for her warmth, humor, and generosity. Mrs. Hussey practiced nursing in Boston, Mass. and Richmond, taught in the Chesterfield County Schools, and volunteered for the American Red Cross, and the Girl Scouts of America among others. Her remains rest at the Huguenot Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. A Mass of Christian Funeral will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, 2700 Dolfield Drive, with entombment at Mount Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum to follow.
