MEYER, Rebecca "Becky" Norfleet, 86, of Richmond, widow of William J. Meyer, passed away August 6, 2011. She was the daughter of the late Richard Murry and Lillian Reynolds Norfleet of Suffolk, Va. She was also preceded in death by her son, Robert N. Meyer. She is survived by her son, William J. Meyer Jr. and his wife, Sharon of Virginia Beach, Va.; two grandchildren, William John Meyer III and Kathleen M. Meyer; her brother, Robert R. Norfleet; also a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Meyer taught school for many years for Amelia County, Hampton, Va., and Chesterfield County. She was the Math Department Head at Providence Middle School from 1978 to 1985. She was a member of Westover Hills United Methodist Church, a member of the Windsor View Garden Club, where she held many offices. She was a 1946 graduate of Farmville State Teaching College, now Longwood University. A memorial service will be held Thursday, August 11, at 3 p.m. at Huguenot Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Rd., with visitation one hour prior to service.
