Richard Francis Hymack

Dick was born in Newark New Jersey to Stephanie Paszkiewicz Hymack and Frank Hymack. Dick graduated from Seton Hall Prep in West Orange New Jersey and the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia where he had a room on the lawn. Dick loved this school very much and always wanted to go back there to visit. Dick completed his education at the Medical School of Virginia in school of Dentistry May 29, 1956. He met his wife Diane when they were both attending college in Richmond. They were married in the Sacred Heart Cathedral in1955. The couple relocated to Arlington. He served as a Captain in the US Army and was stationed at Ft. Belvoir in Fairfax Virginia until discharged in 1963. Dick practiced dentistry in Falls Church, Virginia for many years.

He served on the board of directors of Marymount Jr. School in Arlington, Virginia while the girls attended school there. Dick served at Holy Trinity Church in Washington D.C. as a Eucharistic minister. Survivors include his beloved wife of 68 years, Diane; daughter Dana Hymack and daughter Julia Brooks (David). The couple had two grandsons; Andrew Brooks (Emily), great grandsons Lane and Reese; and grandson Matthew (Crystal), and great granddaughter Ivy.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 12:00 Thursday October 05 at St. Edward The Confessor Catholic Church 2700 Dolfield Drive Richmond Va. 23235 with the family. Entombment is immediately following the Mass at Westhampton Memorial & Cremation Park 10000 Patterson Avenue Richmond, Virginia 23238
