Ruby's life was completely devoted to her family and friends, the center being her husband and family. She was proud to be a full time homemaker. Ruby loved her family and the time she spent with them during vacations, family events and holidays. Ruby's commitment in teaching the importance of family will leave a lasting impression on each of her children. Our times together have created many fond memories and cherished moments that will be carried forward for a lifetime. Her wisdom and her gift for nurturing were passed along to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and will be forever appreciated and never forgotten. One of her favorite pastimes was playing cards with her family. She taught them every card game there is but Bridge, she reserved that one for her close friends.
Ruby was a member of Providence United Methodist Church and was active in many of the church supported functions. Later in her life, she worked outside the home, until she retired from Hecht's Department Store. She was a devoted friend to many, maintaining lifelong friendships. She is at peace with God and has gone on to her reward. Mom, we thank you so much for always being there and for helping us all to grow to be a loving, caring and devoted family. You will be greatly missed.
