Ruth G. Edwards

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Reed Edwards; Her father, Earl Thompson; Raised by father, Woodrow Hampton, and her mother, Mildred Irene Hampton; Son, Paul Reed Edwards; Brothers, Tommy Thompson, Woodrow Hampton Sr., and Jeffery Hampton, and sister, Sherry Sluss.

She is survived by her son, Micheal Lee Edwards, a daughter, Cristie Marie Edwards; Grandsons, Cameron Reed Edwards, Greyson Carroll Edwards and a granddaughter, Temperance Reed Edwards; Her sisters, Rita Stanley, and Sandra Varney. She is also survived and loved by many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Ruth was always known to have had a green thumb. She enjoyed plants and flowers of all kinds.

A funeral service for Ruth will be held Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Woody Funeral Home Huguenot Chapel, 1020 Huguenot Road, Midlothian, VA 23113. Following the funeral service will be a committal service at 1:00 PM at Dale Memorial Park, 10201 Newsby Bride Rd, Chesterfield, VA 23832.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any Children's Hospital.

The family would also like to thank Ms. Barbara for all the love and care you gave to mom.
