

Daughter of Milton and Beulah McCready, she was born on September 25, 1941 in Miona on Virginia’s Eastern Shore. She grew up in Pocomoke City, MD, with her younger brother Don. After graduating from Pocomoke High School she attended Goldey-Beacom Business School in Wilmington, DE. She married William Thomas (Tom) Bundick of Nelsonia, VA, and lived in Ayer, MA, and Fort Huachuca, AZ, during Tom’s service to the Army. Following discharge, they lived in Baltimore, MD, before settling in Hampton, VA, where they raised their family and lived for over 45 years.
While in Hampton, Sandra worked as an Administrative Assistant at Hampton High School and transitioned to Hampton Baptist Church as their long-time Office Manager, where the family attended. In her free time, Sandra served as the President of the Riverdale Garden Club. In 2008, she and Tom moved to Richmond, VA, where they were active at Bon Air Baptist Church.
Sandra enjoyed reading, studying the Bible both on her own and with friends from church, crocheting, and needle point. During retirement, she began to enjoy watching New York Yankee baseball games with Tom. She was devoted to her family and had special bonds with each of her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Tom; brother Donald Linwood McCready of Baltimore, MD; son William Thomas (Tom) Bundick, Jr. (Denise) and son Matthew of Raleigh, NC; and son Robert Thomas Bundick (Laura) and their children Sarah, Mitchell, and Marla.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 1 at 2:00pm at Bon Air Baptist Church.
