JAMES, Sandra Lucas, 54, of Chesterfield, passed away August 15, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Edward Lucas and Donna Sue Jones Miffin; sister, Tina Marie Seedorf; grandmother, Edith Jones Grimes; and aunt, Doris VanWinkle. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Douglas C. James Jr.; children, Alicia Ann James and her husband, Steven, Michelle Lee James and Brandon Douglas James; sister, Phyllis Roberts; grandchildren, Onnastasia, Gabrielle, Matthew, Alexander, and Jared; aunts, Shirley Lucas and Deborah Kirkland; nieces, Nikki and Casey; and her best friend, Flora Hayden. She was a dedicated and loving mother, and always put others before herself. She will be missed by all those whose lives she touched.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Huguenot Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Rd., and where services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday. Interment private.
