

WRENN, Virginia Elizabeth Wimer, 95, of N. Chesterfield, Va. passed away in her home on March 24, 2017. She was born in Swoope community in Augusta County, Va. She is survived by her beloved husband of 68 years, James Solomon Wrenn, Jr.; her children, James Wrenn (Mavis), Penny Keith (Kevin), Mary Binns (Paul); her grandchildren, Brian Ward (Natalie), Morgan Stalter (Toby), Michael Binns, Elizabeth Binns, Jonina Stith Wrenn, and four great grandchildren.
She was a member of Forest Hill Presbyterian Church , a charter member of Chapter R, P.E.O. Sisterhood, member of the Richmond Story League, Crestwood Farms Garden Club, founding member of the Crestwood Farms Residents Association. She was a charter member of the Richmond Bonsai Society, member of the Bon Air Historical Society, Calligraphic Society of Richmond, and the Virginia Poetry Society. She served as an American Red Cross Nurse’s Aide during World War II and in 1956 she won the Mrs. Virginia contest. She was a lifelong advocate of Continuing Education and took classes even into her eighties.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Woody Funeral Home, Huguenot Chapel, 1020 Huguenot Road, Midlothian, Va. 23113. Funeral services will be held 1:00p.m., Thursday March 30, 2017 at Forest Hill Presbyterian Church, 4401 Forest Hill Ave. , Richmond, Va. 23225. Interment will follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Forest Hill Presbyterian Church or the Crestwood Farms Residents Association Mary Agin Fund, c/o D. Saunders, 1945 Stonehenge Drive, N. Chesterfield, Va. 23225.
