

death by his parents Wallace and Frances Alcoke and brother, JR (Cousy) Alcoke of
Versailles, KY. Bill is survived by the love of his life, wife of 68 years Peggye Rose Alcoke,
son Stephen Thomas Alcoke (Mary), daughter Susan Rose Teachey (Kim) and grandchildren
Amy Teachey, Mandy Sangpeal (Matt), Adam Teachey (Colleen), Patrick Alcoke (Maria), Kelly
Alcoke, step-grandson Ben Coaker (Jessica) and 6 great grandchildren and 3 step great grandchildren.
Bill was born and raised in central Kentucky. He was a World War II veteran who served in the Army at GHQ in Tokyo. He received BS and MS degrees in Civil Engineering
from the University of Kentucky. He spent over 30 years with the Portland Cement Association as
Managing Engineer for Virginia and North Carolina. He concluded his career as Senior Vice President for
the American Concrete Pavement Association. He was a registered professional engineer and a life member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. Bill’s greatest love was family and his role as “Grampy”. He was an avid golfer, loved bass fishing and travel and his closest
friends joined him in these activities. Bill was especiallyfond of all things regarding Woodford County, KY.
A private memorial service will for the family.
