In loving memory of William Henry Larder (Bill) Bill was born in Passaic, New Jersey on March 26, 1930 to Ronald and Deborah Larder. He had a sister (Winnie) and brother (Ronnie). He graduated from Rutherford HS and then went on to earn his degree in agriculture from National Agricultural College in 1951. Bill married his childhood sweetheart Nancy, of Clifton NJ in 1952. Bill dreamed of having his own dairy farm and made that dream come true where he started a family in upstate New York from 1953 through 1963. When he had his fourth daughter, he decided it was time to sell the farm. He then worked in Waterville NY for Agway Feed and Seed. Work brought him to Virginia with Southern States Cooperative and he worked for them for 26 years until retirement. He was a member of the Lions and Ruritan clubs and President of the Lake Shawnee Association where he lived on the lake. Church was always an important part of his life. Bill served as an elder for Tuckahoe Presbyterian as well as elder, treasurer and trustee for Providence Presbyterian church. He is survived by his wife of 67 years Nancy, daughters Christine (Dave) Wesley, Kathleen (Michael) Martin, Betsy Huggins and Linda Colbert. Grandchildren are Melissa (Jerry) Vaughn, Matt (Annie) Wesley, Katie Wesley, Mark Huggins, Andrew Huggins, Kyle (Lanita) Colbert, and Tyler (Ashley) Colbert. He loved his family, serving the Lord, farming, gardening and the New York Yankees. He always had a smile on his face to light up a room and always helped others. He will be greatly missed but he leaves a life well lived and a wonderful legacy.
