William David Morrison

William David Morrison, 79, of Richmond, passed away May 10, 2011. He was preceded in death by his older brother, Robert Charles Morrison. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Gwendolyn C. Morrison; two daughters, Cheryl A. Morrison of Winston Salem, N.C. and Nancy M. Foster and her husband, Gregory Dean Foster of Richmond; a sister, Edith A. Buchanan; two brothers, Thomas E. Morrison and George F. Morrison; seven grandchildren, Meredith, Brandon, Adam, Jason, Gregory Dean Jr., Ashley and David; also numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Morrison was a U.S. Army veteran and retired from C & P Telephone Company after 40 plus years of service. He served as a Deacon and head of the Building and Grounds Committee at Bon Air Baptist Church. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who was loved by many. He enjoyed gardening and current events. The family will receive friends Sunday, May 15, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Huguenot Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, May 17, at 11 a.m. at LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Bon Air Baptist Church, 2531 Buford Road, Richmond, Va. 23235.
