

Andrew Harry Kluczinsky was born on September 5, 1944, in Derby, Connecticut, to Harriet Larson and Andrew George Kluczinsky. He spent a happy childhood in Southbury, Connecticut, where he loved exploring the woods and lake near his home. After graduating from Southbury High School, Andrew joined the military, proudly serving his country in the United States Navy—a chapter of his life that reflected his strong sense of duty, honor, and commitment to others.
Known for his generous spirit and kind heart, Andrew found true joy in giving. One of his greatest pleasures was baking and sharing homemade treats with family, friends, and neighbors. His kitchen was a place filled with warmth, laughter, and connection, and his simple acts of kindness left lasting impressions on everyone who knew him.
Andrew was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law, Alexander Rakisits, Jr.
Affectionately known as “Uncle Andy,” he is survived by his younger sister, Jean Rocelia Kluczinsky Rakisits; his nieces, Kimberly K. Watts, Jennie J. Gallegos, and Signe A. Comfort; and his nephews, Alexander Jared Rakisits and Joshua Andrew Rakisits. He is also lovingly remembered by 16 great-nieces and nephews and eight great-great-nieces and nephews, all of whom will cherish his memory and the love he shared so freely. Andrew will be remembered for his warmth, his generosity, and the way he made everyone feel welcome and valued.
Military honors and interment will be held on January 16, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Bluffdale, Utah. This will be followed by a Celebration of Life at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park – South Valley, located at 13001 South 3600 West, Riverton, Utah 84065.
Andrew’s life was one of service, kindness, and love—a life well lived and deeply appreciated by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
