

Our lovely mother, Beverly Heslington Taft passed away peacefully in Salt Lake City on Feb 8, 2023, at the age of 89. She was born in Milford, Utah on October 22, 1933, to David C. Heslington and Elva J. Stubbs. Both of her parents were schoolteachers, who naturally impacted her studies. Beverly graduated from South High School in 1949; she excelled in school and was able to skip multiple grades, enrolling into the University of Utah in 1949 at the age of 15.
She also lived for some time in San Francisco. She enjoyed traveling and went to many places including Europe, Bahamas, Cancun, Portugal, and Puerto Rico. Her hobbies included playing bridge, boating, and spending time with her friends. Beverly was often known for being the life of the party. Beverly was a rock, and her family was of utmost importance to her.
She was married to Bob Erikson and had two children, Sydney, and Rob. She later divorced and was remarried to David Taft with who she had one child, Todd Taft. Beverly worked as an Office Manager at Peterson Filters for many years. After leaving Peterson Filters Beverly worked at Kennecott Utah Copper until her retirement in the late 1990s. Beverly battled with dementia for nearly 10 years.
Beverly is preceded in death by both of her husbands and parents. She is survived by her brother: David (Linda) Heslington & family; her children: Robert (Lori) Erikson, Sydney Rammel, and Todd (Nicole) Taft; grandchildren: Michael (Jeni), Lydia, Dylan (Kari), Toni (Sean), Nathan, and Cole; great-grandchildren: Zach, Zoe, Hendrix, River, Kamron, and Ashlynn. All of the youngsters warmed her heart. She taught her children work ethic and responsibility.
