Carolyn Hayward

Carolyn Olivia Wright Hayward, age 87, passed away October 31, 2015 at her home in Salt Lake City with her family. Born April 17, 1928, the youngest of eight children to William Arthur and Bertha Olivia Eccles Wright, in Ogden, Utah.

A graduate of Weber College, she married Fred Emil Osterloh, with whom they had one daughter, Pamela Leslie Osterloh. Fred passed away in 1986. Carolyn volunteered at the Church Genealogy Bldg. where she met Leland Wilson Gerber. Together they served an LDS Genealogy Mission in San Diego, Calif. Leland passed away 13 years later. Carolyn had retired from Zions Bank in 1973 where she had met Theodore Hayward. After 37 years they re-met and married in 2001. Theodore passed away in 2007.

Survivors: Daughter - Pamela Leslie O. Talkington (Gilbert). Sisters: Patricia W. Olivier (Jose) and Vivian W. Brinton (Robert). Grandchildren: Kirsten K. Porter (Adam), Jared E. Talkington (Tamie), Kaylie O. Smith (Damon), Justin J. Talkington (Amanda), Kara E. Bankhead (Scott) and 18 great grandchildren

Friends may visit with the family on Saturday November 7, 2015 from 9:30am to 10:30am at the Holbrook Mortuary located at 3251 South 2300 East.
