Cleo was born August 20, 1937, to Herman and Cleo Gallelo in sunny Long Beach, California. After she graduated from Jordan High School in 1965, she spent a year as a flight attendant with TWA before earning her cosmetology licence, a career she enjoyed for decades.
In 1960, she married the love of her life, Joseph Peter Comiske, Jr., and had two wonderful children, Cheryl and Craig. They raised their family in beautiful Hawaii, having been stationed there by the US Air Force, and remained in paradise long after retirement.
Cleo lived a life of service, always staying attuned to the needs, emotions, and concerns of others. Filled with social grace, she never encountered a circumstance that was to large or too small for her to conquer. She brought comfort and wise counsel to all she met, and she spent many hours volunteering with charitable organizations that served young people. She lived by the motto that people can never receive too much encouragement or too many compliments.
In her senior years, Cleo enjoyed traveling with her grandchildren and finding any opportunity to enjoy a dinner party with family and friends. She also remained active throughout her life, always making time for exercise, becoming a shining beacon of the blessings that come when one consistently cares for their physical health.
Cleo was preceded in death by her dear husband, Joe. She is survived by her children, eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and two more on the way!
