Ella Claire Eastman Ryan was born June 9, 1927 in Provo, Utah to Elmer Delor and Clara Ferguson Eastman. Ella was so loved and later was joined by her brother Rex. Together they grew up at the Olmstead Station in Provo Canyon, which included family hikes and picnics. Ella Claire enjoyed several years in dance classes and was a very good young student, graduating from Lincoln HS in 1945 as well as Seminary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. That same year, she married Conrad Ryan also from Olmstead, years later they divorced.
Ella was a very dignified and loving daughter of God. Her sons, Terry and Jim, feel blessed to call her Mom! Her life was devoted to her family, always supporting her sons and creating a beauty in her home, serving wonderful meals on a table that was beautiful as well! Raising the boys in the community of Las Vegas, the family actively participated in the 5th Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, including their sports programs, with Mom in the bleachers!
Ella served as a Den Mother in Cub Scouts and as a Primary Teacher. Years later she enjoyed serving in the new Las Vegas Temple and after moving back to Utah, the Jordan River Temple. She remained an active member of the church throughout her lifetime. Using her skills she also served the community in Beta Sigma Phi and Easter Seals.
What joy she expressed as she welcomed these 9 grandchildren, Amy, John, Lisa, Tim, Chris, Wendy, Mary, Jill and Heather (now deceased). She filled their lives with loving memories! 29 Great Grandchildren, Nick, Josh, Will, Conrad, Simone, Evan, Isabela, Radley, Elliana...Alli, Becca, Luke, Lucy, Emily, Thomas, Jack, Debbie, Abby, Henry, Lizzy, Bailey, Jane, Hallie, Sophie, Will, Alex, Megan, Sammy & Suzy... and Great Great Grandchildren Bianca & Coast!
Her family cherished her and will miss her dearly, looking forward till we meet again. A special thank you to the staff of Ashford Draper for their loving care of Ella.
