

Devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother Fay Coleman Brinkerhoff passed away August 1, 2010 in West Jordan, Utah. Born November 4, 1916 in Teasdale, Utah to Bertha and Hyrum Brinkerhoff. Married to Helen Peden on June 18, 1938, later sealed in the South Jordan Temple.
Fay began at the age of eight herding sheep to help his father; he was a great rancher and farmer. He worked in the mines in Hanksville, Utah. He retired from the Salt Lake City School District. He was known for making great wood crafts, beautiful furniture and Hope Chests. He was a loving and caring man and will be greatly missed by all.
Survived by son; Robert F. Brinkerhoff (Shanna Lee) West Jordan, UT; Grandchildren; Douglas R. Brinkerhoff (Lori) Cathlament, WA; Karla Sorenson (Gary), Sigurd, UT. Siblings; Ardith Kounalis (Byron); Guy Brinkerhoff (Jan); Ione Stewart; three great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren, six step grandchildren, 25 step great-grandchildren, five step great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his wife Helen Brinkerhoff, parents, brothers Reed and Arnold, sisters Ilene, Arba, and Freeda.
Graveside services will be at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, Wednesday August 4, 2010 at 11:00 am with a viewing one hour prior to services and Tuesday evening from 6 – 8 pm at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 Highland Drive, SLC.
