She graduated from East High School in 1940; Holy Cross in Nursing, 1947, received a Bachelor of Science in 1948 from the College of Saint Mary of the Wasatch. She also completed advanced clinical courses in Operating Room Technic and Management at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. She retired from many years of dedicated service to Shriner’s Hospital for Children in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Gloria is survived by her sister Marilyn O’Connor of Salt Lake City, cousins Judy Wilson of Morgan, Utah; Claudia Thomsen of Golden, Colorado; Carol Woolley of Salt Lake City; and William Castagnoli of New York.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 S. Highland Drive. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
