Passed away October 27, 2025 at the age of 94.
He was raised by his mother and during WW II, he and his mother were rescued from a burning and bombed out building.
After the war he married S. Martha Enge February 14, 1953. Hans, Martha and her son Joachim immigrated to the United States of America, on the ship Italia, arriving in New York March 31, 1955, continuing on to Salt Lake City, UT, where they made their home in the Millcreek area.
Hans Joined the US Army September 20, 1955, where he was station back in Germany, received an Honorable discharge August 30, 1957.
Hans and Martha were Naturalized and became US citizens August 17, 1961.
Hans worked as a Postal Inspector for the US Postal Service and retired after 30 years of service in 1990.
A visitation will be held at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, located at 3401 S. Highland Drive, Millcreek, Utah, on November 11, 2025, from 11:45 am to 12:45 pm. A graveside service will follow at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, Northmont Section, at the same address, starting at 1:00 pm.
