Jim was born on July 1, 1933 in Pueblo Co. to Emmanuel and Fotine. Raised in Price, Utah and left us on May 12, 2011 surrounded by his devoted family.
Married Brent Nelson on July 1, 1961 and spent almost 50 years with the love of his life.
Jim spent most of his working years in the appliance business working for Huish Distributing and Contract Appliance. He retired last year at the age of 77.
Jim had two passions in his life, family and golf. Jim will miss having coffee with the “old timers” at Mick Riley Golf Course.
Survived by his wife, children, Liz (Dee) Shirts, Chris Lingos; grandchildren, Brooke, Demetri, Christopher, Katie, Alizabeth; great grandchildren, Macy and Jaden.
Preceded in death by his brother, Angelo and daughter Faye.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday May 18, at 11:00 a.m., Prophet Elias Greek Orthodox Church, 5335 S. Highland Dr. A viewing will be held Tuesday May 17, at 7:00 p.m., Prophet Elias Greek Orthodox Church.
Pops, thanks for the memories and life lessons. Wait for me on the first tee.
