Joan met Ken Ingleby at Granite High School and they were married in the Salt Lake Temple on September 4, 1942 just before Ken shipped out to the Pacific in WWII. Joan is survived by her four children, Kenny (Claudia) Ingleby, Steve (Jean) Ingleby, Shelly (Rawl) Nelson, and Ron Ingleby, and her 16 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren.
Joan was very bright and excelled in school and business. She was a talented and successful commercial interior designer and worked on many hotels, office buildings, apartment projects and residences throughout the western U.S. Joan loved to travel and organized and chaperoned a number of Friendship Force flights to far-flung places around the globe.
Most importantly, Joan was an extraordinary mother, expecting much but loving more. Even during her last two weeks, she drew all of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren home to her side.
Graveside services will be held at noon on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 S. Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah.
