Karen was born at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah to parents, Myrna L. Carbine and M. William (Bill) Carbine Jr. She graduated from Kearns High School. Karen went on to marry Scott L. Tueller in 1985. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She loved her role as a big sister to her 5 siblings. They held a large part of her heart, whether she was near or far. When she had her own children, she loved to bake cookies with them and take them to the “duck park”.
Karen went to beauty school for a while and later trained on key punch. With the skills she learned, she was able to work at JC Penny’s as a key punch operator. She suffered from severe mental health challenges and spent much of her life in various institutions. She was recently afflicted with cancer, but God, in his mercy, took her home gently.
Karen is survived by her parents, Myrna and Bill Carbine; daughter, Keri Ann Tueller; sons, Kory Lee Carbine and Kody Allen (Brooke) Carbine, both of whom were later adopted by her parents; her siblings; Kim (David) Lamb, Earl (Jennie) Carbine, Kathy (Eddy) Abbott, Kristy Ann Beltran, and Karolyn (Levi) Thomson; as well as 2 grandchildren, Hailey and Ellie Carbine.
The family would like to express our appreciation to Avalon Sandstone Care Center for their tender care and being like a family to Karen for many years.
A private family celebration of life will be held for Karen at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary.
