

Marcella Johanson Robinson passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 11, 2026 at the age of 104. She left to go fishing with her sweetheart Dale at Trial Lake. She has been missing him for over 20 years.
She was born on May 6,1921 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Albert and Lillian Bird Johanson. She married Dale Alvin Robinson, her Granite High School sweetheart, in the Salt Lake Temple on June 26, 1941. They were blessed with one daughter and 3 sons. She was a very devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.
Marcella was taught at an early age to be a hard worker. She worked many hours each day on her father’s farm. Her first job was an elevator operator at Hotel Utah working with her best friend, Adeline. She loved school, her favorite class was drama. She was in all the school plays. Later she enjoyed working at Arthur Franks at the Cottonwood Mall selling ladies clothing. Dale and Marcella loved spending time with family and their good friends, Avon and Dick. They spent many weekends fishing at Trial Lake. She loved making quilts with her friends and family for all newly married couples and new babies. She enjoyed sewing clothes for her children, especially her daughter. She was always canning fruits and vegetables from her yard. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Marcella is survived by her children, Julie A Rowell, M. Doyle (Susan) Robinson, Greg (Tammy) Robinson, daughter-in-law Vickie Robinson, 13 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren.
Marcella is preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, two sisters, husband, son Calvin Dale, son-in-law Tedd Rowell; grandson Timm Rowell; granddaughter Kimberley Lloyd Robinson.
The family wishes to thank Melrose with Visiting Angels and Dina with Evolution Hospice Care who were devoted caregivers for many years. We extend appreciation to the staff of Legacy House of Taylorsville.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 24 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cottonwood 4th Ward Chapel, 5565 South Neighbor Lane, Holladay, Utah. A viewing will be held at the same location from 9:45-10:45.

Interment to follow at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park and Mortuary, 3401 Highland Drive, Millcreek, Utah in the Vista Park Garden.
