Margaret Kimber Martindale passed away September 21, 2011 in Draper, UT. Born August 30 1927 in Berkeley, Ca to Mary C. and James E. Kimber. Margaret graduated from Berkeley High School and obtained her bachelors degree in elementary education at Whittier College in California. Married Don A Martindale in 1955 later divorced. Margaret was active as a campaign manager for the Nixon administration and the Republican Party in the Los Angeles and Berkeley areas and worked with congressmen and senators.
At the young age of 30 and pregnant, Margaret suffered a stroke and was paralyzed on her left side. Facing monumental challenges, she pressed forward as a mother, teacher, friend and congressional campaign manager. Against great odds Margaret raised two wonderful children. Margaret was a force to be reckoned with. She would not be held down or told that her paralysis was a limitation for her.
As a member of the LDS church, Margaret is steadfast and determined in the principals of the Gospel, her faith in Jesus Christ and the Plan of Salvation.
Margaret has a loving family and many faithful friends who will miss her.
She is survived by her children Laurie M. (Daniel F.) Seron and John A. (Tresa) Martindale, 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, sisters Betty Gibson and Mary (Doug) Duncan.
We would like to extend a special thank you to all of mom's angel's who served her so selflessly and for so many years.
Arrangements under the direction of Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, Salt Lake City, UT.
