Our beloved son, brother and daddy, Miles Mark Ashton passed away on December 27, 2015 with his parents by his side at their home in West Jordan, Utah. Miles was born on July 13, 1984 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Leslie and Mark Ashton. From birth Miles was a go getter, his love for cars grew into racing at Rocky Mountain Raceway and showing off his treasured 1964 Chevy Chevelle in car shows. He loved time spent with friends most, riding motorcycles, boating, waterskiing, camping or fishing together. He was an Eagle Scout and a graduate of Copper Hills High School, Class of 2002. Miles was a burst of energy and always needed to be doing something; he could never sit still. He was notorious for never being on time, but always proudly called himself fashionably late. He would blast country music religiously and we would always know when he was on his way as his sound system could be heard from blocks away. He would frequently spend his time off at the Sand Dunes riding in his custom built CBR600 Go-Kart. Miles worked at Harper as a cement truck driver showing his skills in the truck rodeo obstacle course. Miles was helpful to family and friends with whatever they needed from moving, building engines, fixing cars or just being there for support. Helping his Grandma Jeppsen was always his priority, and he was often found laughing, telling stories, and fixing famous tuna sandwiches in shapes of butterflies with her. Miles' son Gaige was his true happiness and life's meaning. They would sing "You've Got a Friend in Me" over and over, and wouldn't hesitate to sing it just one more time. They spent their time side-by-side looking to fix whatever they could find. Miles was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved to take his son to church.
Miles has many friends and family who love and will miss him more than words can express. He has left us broken hearted, moving on with his next adventures. He leaves behind his parents Leslie and Mark Ashton, The Shining Star of his life his son Gaige, loving brothers Trent (Stephanie), Parker (Kelsie), and Drew Ashton, and his dog Buddy. Proceeded in death by, grandparents Irene and Ferron Jeppsen, Thelma and Kenneth Ashton, cousins Josh Jeppsen, Carissa and David Westley.
Miles we will miss you very much. Until we meet again. As Miles would say, “Hey, I love you guys” - "Oh, the hell with it."
