Myrna was born on January 8, 1940 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Henry Allen and Lovell Wager Smith and was the 3rd of 4 daughters.
Myrna was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and her faith and testimony of her Savior, Jesus Christ guided her entire life. She served in many callings over the years. Her service as a Ministering Sister brought much joy to her and to those she served. She loved the scriptures. She served a mission in the Atlantic States Mission.
Professionally Myrna excelled as a Trust Officer for Zion's Bank. She loved her job and made many friends with her work.
Myrna was a talented pianist and organist and filled her life with beautiful music. She enjoyed reading, cross stitching, scrapbooking, playing games, crocheting winter scarves and hats for charity, and cheering for her Utah Jazz. She loved animals, especially Sonny, Ginger, and Hedy.
Myrna lived the last several years of her life at Highland Glen Assisted Living with 2 of her sisters and their husbands. Myrna loved everyone and brought joy to those around her.
Myrna was preceded in death by her parents, her 3 sisters: Nola (Sterling) Weed, Kathryn (Sherman) Brown, and Julie (Robert) Lambert as well as a baby brother, David Mark. Myrna is survived by her brother-in-law, Robert Lambert, many nieces and nephews whom she loved and who loved her dearly, as well as countless cherished friends.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday October 20th from 10:00 to 10:45 at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary (3401 S Highland Drive, SLC) and a graveside celebration of her life will be immediately following at Wasatch Lawn cemetery.
