Our loving Dad, Philip L. Perry passed away peacefully on February 24, 2022. Phil was born in Provo, Utah to Shirl and Elnora Perry. He is survived by his four children and their spouses Brent Perry (Leslie), Brenda Hardy (Bob), Brian Perry (Joey), and Lori Back (Kyle). He is also survived by his brother Alan Perry and his wife Holly.
Phil was a graduate of Provo High School and was also a graduate of National Radio Institute of Electronics. He attended Salt Lake Community College.
After graduating from high school in 1954 Phil joined the army and served in Germany for fourteen months. This was with the World War II occupation of Germany. He was then transferred to Fort Carson, Colorado where he served the rest of his time.
He married Lillian Williams in 1957. His four children were born to this union. They were later divorced. Lillian passed away in March of 2008. Phil found employment with the State of Utah, and worked there for twenty-eight years, where he retired early in 1987. He did much volunteer work and several part time jobs during that time.
Phil was a High Priest with Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he served in many positions, including several missions.
Phil has 9 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, UT. on Saturday, March 12, 2022 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.
There will be a visiting time for those who wish to pay their respects to the family from 9:00 – 9:45 a.m.
Interment to follow at Wasatch Lawn Cemetery.
