Our precious mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend was finally reunited with her sweetheart, Doyle, on April 15, 2018. She was born January 2, 1922 into a wonderful family in Richfield, Utah. Her parents were Clarence Martin Littlewood and Lena Strobel. Phyllis and Doyle were married in the Salt Lake Temple on November 20, 1942. She lived a life completely devoted to her husband, children and grandchildren. Theirs was truly a love story that lasted over 76 years.
For over 35 years Mom was a bookkeeper for Castletons Clothing Store and Volkswagon International. Then she retired to devote her time and energy to her family.
Mom and Dad traveled the world together--from China to New Zealand and many countries in between. They also enjoyed many cruises with family and friends. She found a lot of joy doing temple work and serving in various callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Phyllis endured many physical trials in her later years. She met them with strength and optimism. The family would like to thank all those at the Abbington and Brighton Hospice for their loving care of mom.
Mom is survived by her children Julie, Diane, Brent (Kris) and Suzi, twelve grandchildren and thirty three great grandchildren. She is also survived by younger brother Bruce Littlewood.
