

Raymond Brown Glaittli, beloved father and grandfather, died of natural causes Friday morning, December 23, 2016. The youngest of 4 children, he was born to George Washington and Martha Brown Glaittli on October 2, 1928, in Salt Lake City. He was honorably discharged from the Air National Guard in October 1952 after serving in the Korean War as a Staff Sergeant, leading a crew of P51 Mustang aircraft mechanics. Married, June 21, 1956, to Patricia Darlene Anderson for eleven years, he was the father of 5 children. He made his living as a salesman, often the top monthly and yearly salesman for Rick Warner Ford, Henry S. Day Ford, and Huish Carpet. He was the general manager for Windsor Marble and later worked as an air engineer selling industrial compressors and maintenance equipment. He loved to garden and would always share his harvest with his family, friends, and neighbors. He was a devoted father to his 4 sons, teaching them how to work and cook, and how to keep a house, a car, and a yard.
Preceding him in death were his parents, George and Martha; daughter, Susan Patricia; ex-wife, Patricia Anderson Bowman; sister-in-law, Donna Tate Glaittli; sister, Dorothy Glaittli Homer; brothers, Don and George. A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, he served for several years in the ward Sunday School presidency. Survived by his sons and their spouses, Steve and Christina, Ron and Michelle, John and Janet, Patrick and Carolee.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30pm on Friday, December 30, 2016 at the Olympus 1st Ward, 4100 South Camille Street (2480 East), where friends may visit with the family on Thursday evening, December 29, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00pm and also on Friday afternoon from 12:00pm to 1:00pm prior to services. Interment Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
