Robert Wiley Moffitt

Robert Wiley Moffitt, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend passed away on October 12, 2021 in Murray, Utah. He was born March 23, 1957 to Bruce John & Ruth Pierce Moffitt in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Robert was the youngest of five and as such was much loved and cared for by his older siblings. He loved his childhood and growing up in the Chesterfield area of West Valley. He graduated from Granite High School and Salt Lake Community College with an emphasis in auto body and mechanics. Early on, Robert had a love of cars and a knack for fixing them. He was a hard worker who worked for Lockheed, and at the time of his death, the US Postal Service.

He met the love of his life, Melanie Anderson, and they were married December 15, 1979. They were later sealed in the Mount Timpanogos Temple on December 13, 2014. Together they had five children: Bryce, Heidi, Heather, Ashlee and Cameron. As a family, they had many adventures traveling, enjoyed sporting events and spending time together. Robert was an Eagle Scout and shared his love of scouting with his sons, and as a Scout Leader. Anyone who met Robert became his instant friend and he would help anyone in need.

Robert will be missed dearly and is survived by his wife, children, daughter-in-law Natalie, two granddaughters Brylie and Paislie, mother-in-law Sharee Anderson, sister Marlene Gregovich (Rudy), brother-in-law Rick Chambers, nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his furry friends Sydney and Tucker. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Larry, sisters Lorraine & Clarine, father-in-law Blaine, and sister-in-law Susette Chambers.

For family and friends a viewing will be on Monday October 18, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary 3401 South Highland Drive, Millcreek. Viewing prior on Tuesday October 19, 2021 at 10:00 a.m.

Funeral Services will be Tuesday October 19, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary 3401 South Highland Drive Millcreek.
