Rulon George Reynolds, the "Falcon" was born on June 7, 1930 in Murray, Utah to Rulon Jay and Irene Ruffell Reynolds. The oldest of 8 children, he graduated from Granite High School and served in the Air Force in Clovis, NM. Rulon attended the U of U while working part time at Standard Supply. He married his sweetheart, Gloria Rolapp, on February 10, 1952 and were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. They are the parents of two children whom Rulon adored, Rick and Debbie. Rulon and Gloria loved travelling and explored the world together. In 1964 Rulon co-founded Mountain West Distributors in Salt Lake City, which grew to include additional distribution centers in Denver and Phoenix. Always the ultimate salesman, he loved and excelled at his profession and made many great friends. Working alongside his children and grandchildren at the family business was his greatest joy. Rulon and Gloria served as tour directors at the LDS Conference Center; he loved this calling, having had many choice experiences there. Rulon had a great sense of humor with a nickname for all. He loved fishing, hunting, golfing, the Jazz and BYU sports. His family will miss his beautiful singing, witty poems, yodeling and whistling.
