Dear Dick and family
Shirley was so clearly the light in your eyes.  I have such  wonderful memories of trips to Lake Powell and Christmas parties where Shirley loved on all of us like we were her kids. I am so glad to have known her. Her kindness and smiles will live on forever n many hearts.
I hope knowing that thousands of we Havenites are praying for all of you helps ease your pain a tiny bit.  May God hold all of you close under His sheltering wings and bring you peace and comfort.  And may your memories be filled with love and laughs.

Dick and family - I am so very sorry for your loss of your wonderful wife and mother (grandmother as well).  I don't know if you remember me but I am Marlene Luke (mother of Marty Gibbs).  I haven't seen you or Brad for some time now, but hear about you through other means.  I wish I had known Shirley better  but when Jeff passed, we lost contact with each other. Dear Dick,

Over the years that you loved and cared for others, your devotion to Shirley, Brad and your family was clearly paramount.  Many thousand times you honored Shirely through your stories of her love and commitment to you and family and healing.  They have been stories that inspired hope in the lives of others.  More than the stories was seeing the companionship you gave to each other, all the beautiful places you shared, people you knew and love that transformed.
